A Mecanum drive unit that supports the development of Mecanum AGVs and AMRs with its high load capacity, compact design, and diverse lineup.Leveraging the high torque, high rigidity, and high durability that characterize our gearboxes, these units deliver smooth and stable operation even under heavy loads. The Mecanum mechanism enables smooth movement in all directions, contributing to high-precision transport in compact spaces, and their high reliability has led to adoption across a wide range of industries.
Furthermore, we have added a new actuator-type model to our lineup that is integrated with a brushless DC motor manufactured by Oriental Motor. This makes the development and design of AGVs and AMRs more efficient and simplifies their implementation.
An assist unit that can be retrofitted to hand-pushed carts. Thanks to its proprietary assist control system, which provides assistance based on the user’s pushing or pulling force, even heavy loads can be transported smoothly with minimal effort. Capable of handling loads of up to 1 metric ton, it reduces the physical strain on workers while contributing to improved safety and operational efficiency.
AMRs for Inter-Process Material Handling in the Food Industry
This AMR was jointly developed by Nabtesco and its group company, PACRAFT Co., Ltd. It automates the transport of retort-sterilized trays, contributing to labor savings and improved operational efficiency at food processing plants.
In addition to the “RVW-10PG” Mecanum drive unit, it is equipped with WiBotic’s wireless power supply and charging system.
We will be conducting demonstration runs at our booth. Visitors can see firsthand the Mecanum wheels’ omnidirectional movement (forward, backward, left, right, diagonally, and turning) as well as the contactless power transmission in action.

By attaching the assist unit to your existing transport cart, you’ll be able to transport loads with a maximum load capacity of 1 metric ton. When moving heavy loads, this reduces the strain on the operator during the initial movement—when the most effort is required—and helps solve the challenges associated with transporting heavy loads.

The assist unit can control the left and right drive wheels independently, enabling precise turning even in tight spaces. Additionally, its intuitive operation makes it easy for women and seniors to transport heavy loads. Furthermore, since the assist unit is designed to follow the operator’s movements, it prevents unintended starts and operational errors.
